Talbina is a health app that helps Muslims discover and learn Islamic nutrition and health topics, by teaching and putting to practice prophetic medicine.
We provide visual hadith guides (sayings of the Prophet Mohammed ﷺ), Quran lessons, fiqh of food and health (Islamic jurisprudence), Islamic inspired health guides curated by Registered Dietitians & health professionals, recipes, goal planning and achieving, and a place for reflection (tadabbur and tafakkur) in one educational platform.
It provides Muslims an easy and fun way to engage with nutrition and health information, in a religious dimension, and through a cross-cultural context. Talbina connects Islamic knowledge and goal achieving, with our vision of "soothing the hearts, feeding the souls."
is a food (in Arabic: تلبينة) with origins in the Arabian peninsula. It is a porridge made from the barley grain, formed by adding milk and honey to barley flour. The name originates from the Arabic word laban meaning yogurt, because of its resemblance to yogurt, as it is soft and white. In Islamic tradition, it is said to sooth and relieve the heart of the sick from sadness. This Islamic prophetic remedy is an inspiration for the name of our app.
Why Talbina?
Talbina balances knowledge-gaining with goal achieving, through a platform that allows for Muslims to see real life change.
We promote diversity internally in the Muslim community, by including Islamic opinions mentioned across different books from various schools of thought. This promotes positive interactions and inclusivity between Muslims, providing benefit and ease of access to information.
We create a cross-cultural experience that connects nutrition and health to a religious dimension, addressing the health needs of a diverse population underrepresented in healthcare
We provide Muslims engaging visual content that raises ranks in knowledge, in an interactive and fun way

Dua strongly believes that it’s important to ensure the food we eat is pure, halal, and tayyib. If we are well informed we can in turn better inform the market.
